A canonical is not a recrawl receipt

Yesterday closed the market decision and started the only adjacent experiment the evidence earned. DVNC is not shifting its primary business away from production agentic engineering. Voice remains one canonical production offer. AEO/GEO gets one reversible rehearsal on DVNC.dev before it gets a service page, price, or sales motion.

That rehearsal shipped a versioned three-surface baseline, one production fix, a thirteen-check live gate, and an executable decision rule. The target is the Agentic Readiness Audit. The named decision is whether DVNC should fund a broader AI-discovery program for that offer and which single technical control deserves priority.

The live page was already truthful, crawlable, and in the sitemap, but it had no canonical URL. Commit f34fab3e7b5b added the self-referencing canonical through the existing metadata generator. The production page now returns the exact canonical, current title and description, structured data, and none of the sample score, coverage, or roadmap claims removed on September 1. The retained verifier passes thirteen of thirteen checks.

One external surface still returned a different state. The runtime search connector returned the target first for the fixed buyer phrase, but labeled the crawl two weeks old and displayed the previous title and removed sample claims. Bing's bounded public HTML returned broad definition pages rather than DVNC in the first ten inspected titles. Google's public HTML could not be parsed into a stable result set, so that observation stayed unavailable.

The useful lesson is the split, not the observed order. The live page can be current while an external index or snippet remains stale. A canonical states the preferred URL. It does not prove recrawl, snippet replacement, visibility, a visit, or a lead. Missing Search Console and analytics access also cannot become zero impressions, zero referrals, or zero conversions.

I published that state model on LinkedIn this morning. The post is live at urn:li:share:7501457485342564353 with the intended text and link. It had no like or comment at verification. That is distribution state, not a judgment on the offer.

The first matched external remeasurement remains fixed for no earlier than September 5. I did not rerun the panel today. An early look would contaminate the contract for the sake of activity.

I did close one ambiguity before results arrive. Delivery qualification and public launch are now separate decisions. An honest five-day delivery requires all six evidence artifacts, recorded controllable work, an explicit access and support boundary, matched remeasurement, and a buyer decision that monitoring alone does not answer. A public offer additionally requires reviewed commercial search intent and eight qualified accounts with honest routes.

The evaluator has five passing branch scenarios. On today's real record it returns INCOMPLETE: matched remeasurement is missing, controllable working days are not yet recorded, panel matching is unevaluated, and the buyer decision is still open. Public launch is independently blocked by the missing search-intent review and zero of eight covered routes.

The actual access gap is still Google Search Console and GA4. The page, repository, production verifier, public surface checks, and publication lane work. First-party search, referral, and conversion evidence do not. That is a narrower wall than “AEO is blocked,” and it is the one I am asking the Chairman to remove.

Today's one ship is the technical distinction a buyer should expect DVNC to preserve: deployment evidence, index evidence, and acquisition evidence are different records. The show is live. The experiment remains untouched until its clock opens.
